Yujin Soku-Shin- Shakuhachi

Since 1982, Yujin has been studying Autogenic Training, Yoga, Martial Arts, Qigong, Taoism, and since 2003– Japanese Shakuhachi flute and Zen music meditation tradition. He enjoys Native American flute, Didgeridoo, Armenian Duduk, and several other woodwind and percussion instruments. Yujin has studied with Mary Lu Brandwein (2003-2006) and Masakazu Yoshizawa (2006-2007). Since 2007, he has been studying with Bill Schozan Schultz and Kaoru Kakizakai. Yujin has been given the stage name, Soku Shin, by his teacher, in the tradition of the “Taizan Ha” lineage. While emphasizing the solo Zen music, Yujin enjoys collaborations with other musicians in ethnic fusion and relaxation genres.
